I have been a big Zutano for since Hayden was born. We received some super cute clothes from local boutique stores that were just the adorable. Colorful, not overly cutesy, and super soft. Now Target is carrying a line of their products – “Zutano Blue“. And the prices can’t be beat!!
Get excited!!!! Ok, you don’t have to be AS excited as me, but still I love me some Todd Oldham. And now you can love him too with his new line at Target coming May 20th! Check out the post over at Apartment Therapy for more info…
I learned about the Lowes Creative Ideas website this past weekend and my every waking moment (ok, maybe not EVERY) has been consumed with drooling over/dreaming of all the cool projects they have on the site. The best part is they are labeled by skill level and they also give the estimated cost of the project. Genius.
Here are the projects I am “sure” I will be finishing in the next few months…
Currently my dreams of fixing up a vintage Airstream trailer and traveling the country with my hubby and 2 cats is on hold. But that doesn’t mean I don’t still spend A LOT of time drooling over the many fix-em-up projects out there.
My first all-time fav airstream out there right now is this lovely guy:
Ok, Design Within Reach (or Design Out of Reach as my friends like to call it) has created an Airstream trailer outfitted with such furnishings as a Nelson Ball Clock, a pair of Tripolina chairs and some Heller Dinnerware. Sounds expensive? It probably is. But still awesome:
I love Blik. I mean LOVE LOVE LOVE them. I have posted previously about using Bliks in our nursery (Wee Gallery) and it seems like everyday they come up with something new and cool I want to use somewhere in our house! So when I got the Blik email today and saw these awesome LA themed magnets (a first for the company) I knew I wanted some for little Baby V to be. Maybe Chicago-themed? How cool would that be!

Since they are custom made (boo) you can’t buy them from Blik. But maybe they will start selling kiddo sized magnets soon! One can only hope…
A friend sent me info about the Taga Bike over a year ago. I knew instantly that I MUST HAVE ONE. Who knew that a little over 2 months later I would be knocked up!? Fate. That’s what this is. FATE. Well, fate has been conspiring against me, because lo and behold, the Taga hasn’t been available in the U.S. for a while now. Also, repeated attempts to find a retailer in Chicago (or even in the United States) that might carry them in-store has been fruitless. Well, for now I will just sporadically watch their YouTube video and pine over how cute I would look riding to the local coffee shop, baby in tow.

Oh New Yorkers. You are all soooo cool aren’t you!? From Kidding Around to Skip*Hop your products are just bursting with modern lines, innovative play and educational-ness (not a real word). I was browsing a store in Oak Park yesterday and found this awesome play set by Kid O:
Deep Into the Forest
Well, I just had to find out what other cool products they carried! I fell in love with their Floating Ducks and Sibi Max Car. So cute and simple!

Unfortunately it doesn’t look like they have any newborn products just yet. But I will be keeping my eye out!
We knew as soon as we started planning our nursery that we wanted to use a Blik Re-stik somewhere in the room. We knew we wanted a re-stik, so when we moved we could take it along. We ended up choosing the Wee Gallery Woodlands stik:

Well, I have a bit of buyers regret now that A Modern Eden has released some of their awesome prints as wall sticks! Check them out:
I was looking to do a post on kids indoor play tents, but instead came across this amazingly beautiful site filled to the brim with all sorts of little knick-knacks I could just see in my home/nursery/life. Here are a few of my favs:
Walnut Owl with Green Top
Animal Coatrack
Large Bau Pendant Light
Puppy Antique Toy Pillow
I can see all these awesome items in my nursery! To check out more cool items click here to view Gretel!
Ok, maybe I am going a little mobile crazy. I have been on a hunt for the “perfect mobile” for about 3 months now – with no success. Which is the right mobile for our nursery? For our little guy? Well, my search may have come to an end. Check out the amazingly cute and simple mobiles from Flensted Mobiles, run in Denmark by Christian Flensted and his family of “Uromagers”, a name impossible to translate into English, which means a “maker of mischievous things that are always on the move”. How cool is that?!
